Characters with holes/穴の空いた文字 (2018)

針を使ってヘミングウェイの短編小 説「老人と海」の文字の線上に穴を空 けていく様子を記録。慣用句「穴があく ほど見つめる」より引用。穴を空けることで文字に空気が通り、文字も呼吸するならば文字も生き物になるのではないかという幻想と、小学校の頃に着ていたボレロを頭からかぶった際に見える光を再現したいという気持ちで制作。
